Jean-François Primeau

Research-creation residency
January 8 to February 2, 2018

During the month of January 2017, Jean-François Primeau will be in research-creation residency at DAÏMÔN. He will develop a project that takes the interactive narrative approach of the “gamebook”, applying it to electroacoustic music in the form of an interactive installation: a sound and narrative universe that evolves according to the actions of the participant.

By involving the visitor in what s/he hears, Jean-François Primeau wishes to solicit his/her attention in a different way, thus increasing the immersive potential of the experience. For this, the spectator will have to explore the space, bringing the experience closer to that of a soundwalk.

Throughout the exploration, a unique soundtrack will be assembled for each experiment.

This project is part of the continuity of the interactive installation-work The demonstration realized during Jean-François Primeau’s Masters Degree on the musical interactivity at the beginning of 2017.
