|CREATION-PRODUCTION RESIDENCY|
CALL FOR PROJECTS | DEADLINE : DECEMBER 6, 2024 @ 5PM
The Centre de production DAÏMÔN and Sentier culturel teams are pleased to offer a creation-production residency to a Ville de Gatineau artist or collective wishing to present a work of media and/or digital art as part of the 2025 edition of the Sentier culturel.
As part of this joint residency, you will benefit from :
- A total artist’s fee of $5,000, covering residency and exhibition fees, written documentation, resale rights, rights to use images for documentation purposes, etc.
- A one-month residency, from April 10 to May 6, 2025 (non-negotiable dates) offering you:
- Privileged access to the creative spaces of the Centre de production DAÏMÔN (multifunction studio, ambisonic studio, darkroom and electronics and robotics lab).
- Privileged access to media and digital equipment (please note that our equipment cannot be integrated into the final work; any technology integrated into the work must be acquired by the artist and included in the production fee).
- Up to 10 hours of technical support.
The proposal must meet the following criteria and conditions:
- The artist or collective resides in Gatineau.
- The proposed work is a media and/or digital art form (sound art, electronic art, digital art (computer and/or robotic), cinematography, interactive media, photography and/or video).
- The proposed work meets public art standards and will be presented outdoors on the Sentier culturel 2025 circuit.
- Be conceived and produced as part of the residency offered from April 10 to May 6, 2025. The work will be integrated into the circuit between May 7 and 9, 2025.
- The total cost of creation and production, including transportation and installation/dismantling, may not exceed $20,000, taxes included (artist’s fee not included).
