On Friday, January 30th, from 5 to 7 p.m., RENCONTRE #1 brings together artists Maude Arès (AXENÉO7) and Marie-Ève Morissette (DAÏMÔN), both currently in residence, for a moment of conversation around their respective practices and works in progress.
At AXENÉO7, Maude Arès begins the PRAXIS residency with a process-based project that explores the performativity of materials—glass, cotton, water—and relationships of proximity between bodies, objects, and space. Her work unfolds through large-scale installations and mobiles, held in fragile, shifting balances.
At DAÏMÔN, Marie-Ève Morissette is developing an interactive installation grounded in a reflection on the body, the digital, and transformation. Her project explores the links between digital temporality and physiological cycles, where the human becomes raw material through sensitive, participatory devices.
RENCONTRE is a new series of public gatherings jointly presented by AXENÉO7, an artist-run centre, and DAÏMÔN, a production centre. The series aims to make accessible what usually unfolds between the walls of La Filature. It brings resident artists, teams, and communities into dialogue, offering moments of connection in a space that is both welcoming and accessible.
