CALL FOR PROJECTS – RESEARCH, CREATION AND / OR PRODUCTION RESIDENCIES

The Centre de production DAÏMÔN is an artist run center whose mission is to support research-creation, production and dissemination of media arts. Through its support programs, DAÏMÔN invites artists to push the limits of their practice and develop new approaches through the exploration of image, photography, video, sound arts, electronic and new media. By providing artists with workspaces and access to state-of-the-art equipment, DAÏMÔN encourages crossovers between disciplines and dynamic research between the arts and technology.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
A four (4) week research, creation and / or production residency. Open to all artist profiles with a practice in media arts.

  • Preferential access to creative spaces
  • Artistic and / or technical support (20h)
  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment
  • Accommodation (1 bedroom) for artists outside of the Gatineau/Ottawa region
  • Travel allowance
  • $ 2,250 artist fee

FIRST WORK
Two (2) week residency for the realization of a first work in media art. Up-and-coming artists, established professionals working in another discipline.

  • Preferential access to creative spaces
  • Artistic and / or technical support (15h)
  • Access to state-of-the-art equipment
  • Accommodation (1 bedroom) for artists outside of the Gatineau/Ottawa region
  • Travel allowance
  • $ 1,125 artist fee

    SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT
    Submit your project proposal by email to soumission@daimon.qc.ca ; your file must include:

    • Your choice of program
    • Your artistic curriculum with your full contact details
    • A description of the project (up to 500 words)
    • A list of technical needs
    • Timeline
    • One or more supporting documents (images, audio and / or video, maximum 2gb)
