The Centre de production DAÏMÔN invites applications for a guest curator. The curatorial artist will be invited to develop, in collaboration with the existing team, an original artistic program highlighting and extending the limits of DAÏMÔN‘s flagship activities.
In this role, the curatorial artist will be asked to :
- Contribute actively to the realization of the 2026 edition of Radio-Hull, by developing thematic programming;
- Participate in the selection of artists and in the production of related activities;
- Conceptualize and contribute to the realization of the 2026 Members’ Challenge;
- Develop a program of four to six activities through the Practice Circle and/or workshop programming;
- Participate in and/or lead one or two selection committees;
- Document the implementation of activities and write related texts.
REQUIREMENTS |
- Be a professional artist or an artist in training, as defined by the Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec;
- A knowledge of the media and/or digital arts milieu and practice;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (French and English);
- Good writing skills.
CONDITIONS |
The curator will be invited to develop original programming between June 1rst, 2025 and October 30th, 2026. Remuneration is set at 30$/hour up to a maximum of 600 invoiced hours. The curator is not bound to a specific schedule, and may be called upon to work atypical hours such as evenings and/or weekends. The call is open to all artists with a profile in media and/or digital arts. The mandate can be carried out in hybrid mode. Please note, however, that the Centre cannot guarantee accommodation when the artist is called upon to work on site.

Interested artists should send their artistic resume along with a letter outlining the vision they would like to develop during their term as guest curator. All submissions must be e-mailed to emploi@daimon.qc.ca no later than 5 P.M. on March 14th, 2025.
